... leaving home to go home

It's about leaving AIESEC in Switzerland
it's about leaving Bern
it's about saying goodbye and see ya later to friends
it's about all the memories of almost 15 months of my stay in Switzerland
it's about closing another of my Swiss chapters

It's time to say goodbye!

when: 8th September 2006, from 6pm onwards
where: MC office (where else, huh?)
who: everyone who feels like chatting, looking back, laughing, remembering and making travel plans to Slovakia

bring pictures, good mood, something to drink and something to grill
see ya there, friends!

long time no see

IC is the place to be!

especially, if you want to catch up with people you haven't seen for a long time, such as your previous team mates who decided to move away to all kinds of different continents. It simply feels good to have breakfast with Bee. Every day at 7:45 she comes to my room to check if I am already awake, goes and wakes up her Colombian mates and by 8:00 (seriously, 8 a.m.) we are going for breakfast.
I even change my habits and I am taking a shower in the evening to be ready ;)

In general, IC is going great!

WENA pre-meeting rocked (according to the delegates... I am trying to be modest;)), it looks like AIESEC in Western Europe and Northern America should grow stronger. Let's see if all this preparation turns into results...

Another highlight: Global Village
well, it was very interesting this year: I had a serious identity crises. I didn't have a stand that I belonged to... I had 20 WENA countries and a Slovak stand, which actually didn't help. After a while, I got an asylum in my "home country" - Switzerland.

This year's Global Village was wonderful! The best organised, the most interesting, alternating invited professional groups and various countries of the network.. What fun!

I got extra nice welcome in Thailand (thanks Rob), Ecuador (thanks Gio), Colombia (thanks Bee) and Switzerland (thanks everyone!). This year, there was almost 20 Swiss/Swissified people coming to IC! We haven't managed to get everyone to one picture yet... but at least, check out this sample.

MC reunion kicked in: 3/5 is our score. Dhruvli is being mentioned every day as there is a lot of Indians and both Bee & I miss his humor. To Sabi's honour,
Bee
and I shared a doughnut 2 days ago!

IC is a huge meeting place. You meet old friends or make new ones...
Still a couple of days to enjoy!
